Nice post. Saw this as I was collecting some Warner Brothers images for a show production. I was Full Time Faculty at Berklee College of Music for 10 years, so I have some insight on both the process and the in's and out's of college admin (or lack there of)

But really, we are about two clicks shy of launching a very cool school here in Boise, Idaho. It required four years of brain trust to bring all the elements together, but we are being solicited by a huge foundation involved in arts education, and we'll have a trigger pull by mid may. Check it at www.centerforcontemporarymusicstudies.com Side note: With two degrees in Jazz Comp and Arranging and massive creds in development of curriculum at Berklee and UNLV, I was asked to develop a Contemporary Music and Technology Department for a small University in this area that has a good but antiquated music department. Long story short, after a lot of developmet time involved (I did it off contract so I would own the rights) I was three weeks from adjunct my first class (spent the summer on a soft open in seminar form) scheduled, on the books, students signed up, they curb kicked me because I wasn't evangelical christian enough for their faculty!!! They wanted me to sign a paper saying I was born fallen until I accepted Jesus as my savior. What the f***! so glad I developed off contract. So chin up and take a look at the website. If we get the go, we'll be in R&D for about a year as they brick and mortar the place as an add on to their expansion plans. We have a bunch of different types of positions in the adjunct or Master Class / Visiting artist programs. Lets chat. tom
